I'm dog sitting Sir Baxter and Charly! (See my blog about these two Snooty Rich Dogs HERE )
I'm staying at Charly and Sir Baxter's dog palace in the daytime so they won't be too traumatized, for Christ Sakes! Then in the evening I bundle them up and take them to my house where Husband is and we spend the night.

Problem: Now I'm addicted to the rich dogs' TV
Sir Baxter and Charly have mega cable ... every channel in the universe comes through their flat screen. And the flatscreen is HUGE! So far I've watched episodes of the Sopranos (I love Tony--he's so complex), Entourage, Curb My Enthusiasm, and this is at 9am when I'm supposed to be writing, working, and thinking creative thoughts.

But no, Sir Baxter, Charly and I snuggle on the couch as I scarf down those really expensive mixed nuts that have NO peanuts and a lot of Brazil nuts, drinking Coke Zero. FUN!
I only have one more day of this heaven, or until the zipper pops on jeans. Sir Baxter and Charly's owners have other really good food in the house too--gourmet potato chips, brie cheese, organic low sugar ice cream!
I forgot how much fun babysitting can be.

What the babysitter has found out: (That would be me!)
Sir Baxter and Charly play for hours, around and around, while I'm eating cashews. She growls; he nuzzles her. They have too much energy because, get this, the "Snooty Dogs" aren't allowed anything with wheat, corn or soy! I did see Sir Baxter take a big bite of dirt a little while ago.
Sometimes Charly pees on the carpet (oops, where's that expensive earth-saving green stuff that I was left in charge of? And I promised her I wouldn't tell.)
Sir Baxter cries at night (shut the flip up Baxtie your "parents" will be home soon.)
Charly has been chewing on the expensive desk chair in the home office (eh, how am I going to explain this one?) And Sir Baxter encourages her. Sir Baxter, FGS! stop or I'm out the door.
Okay, now I'm feeling like I did when I was 15, babysat and used to sneak my boyfriend in the house. Remember those days? Did you babysit? Were you a bit sneaky?

Aw, they are just too cute!
I've only checked out a couple of your posts so far, but I really enjoy your humor and your writing style. Your "P.A. or P.P." question was such fun! Makes me a little bit sad to think which I have become .... ;)
Thanks for your visit and the thoughtful comment. I hope our paths cross again soon!

OMG,Mary...this blog is just too funny...I can just imagine your humor as you were babysitting...loved the pictures too...C.
Well, I'm done dog sitting and I miss those too little scamps...eh and I miss the great gut busting food too. What is it about "other" people's food that tastes so good?
Back to reality.

Those dogs sure are cute! I don't have cable either - I would have totally gotten addicted too. Curb your Enthusiasm is one of my favorites!
I was kind of sneaky when I babysat as a teenager. That's part of the reason I've only had my parents or my husband's parents watch our kids! ;)
Grown Up Child, I agree about having babysitters who you can trust.

Wow, they are cute! And sounds like they have so much personality, what a fun job! I'm stopping by to say hi from SITS Saturday!

That is funny. I would hate dog-sitting like that.
Yep I was sneaky at times. Shhhh!
